Sara's total ignorance and lack of visual intuition when playing an RTS makes my blood boil. She's a cool girl, don't get me wrong. But my god modern games have absolutely coddled people. I remember playing Red Alert on a display PC at a microsoft store when I wasn't even 10 years old and figuring out almost instantly how to beat the mission within two tries. How the fuck does she not even notice all her units being blown up by a battleship? VISUAL FEEDBACK, WOMAN. DO YOU COMPREHEND IT?
I'm malding so damn much.
This is why I hate so much any time a vtuber I like plays anything I might actually really like, because if they have zoomer syndrome and can't pick up on obvious gameplay cues I'm just going to be a maldfag, and it gets worse the easier the game, but alleviates a lot if it is a pretty challenging game or has a heavy burden of knowledge in learning through trial & error or just straight up failure. As brain dead simple as Spore is with straight incremental stat checks at the core of progress and performance it's mindblowing anyone can struggle with it and I heavily cope by just presuming they're garbage for the sake of content than actually being that stupid. Conversely, I'm not going to talk shit about someone struggling in Darkest Dungeon because that's actually something you need to learn the mechanics and the gameplay in order to do well, and as much as Nina's behaviour annoys me, I have to give her credit and respect her hustle to play such a shitty persona even if it means if I were ever locked in a room with her and a knife I would use the knife to try to wedge the bolt open so we could get out, I mean, what the fuck kind of door closes and locks without a disengage on the interior of the door? What kind of place is this exactly to have rooms like this?
