About 50% of the population of Vancouver is some type of asian, and the type that comes to an anime event is super-biased asian in the first place.
Also AR Pippa is giant.

Since this was a small event with so few people, it likely didn't smell as bad as any big nerd convention. People don't fucking shower and use deodorant. Never go to a gaming convention especially.

As for the manlets, it looked like mostly asian dudes, which are usually shorter. But I'll also quote what I said previously.

Interesting thing I noticed during my ID convention adventure stuff on the weekend.

While the con event have big names like Hololive IDs and Niji ex-IDs attending as guest, these two either doesnt see the need or just didnt bother to set up their own booth. Instead I saw some of it being filled with up and coming indie agencies or even vtuber maker assets like live2d riggers and stuff.

Can understand the lack of booth on Niji ex-ID since they probably dont have office/staff to handle booth anymore, but Hololive? Maybe they were busy handling gen 1 in Japan or something.

And there was like several kobo cosplayers in there. Everyone in ID really loves that rain-themed brat.

I've been to a couple way back in the day and they weren't too bad, but there were definitely a few people that needed to learn what a shower is.

Well you can certainly say that Pippa segment was entertaining and now it makes sense why she did that karaoke yesterday. I know that most of the viewers are in the twitch chat but the little to no live reaction after her performances reminds me of the pokemon live musical where no one reacted and it ended with dead air. Sadly no. I mostly went to these kind of con for the cosplays rather than special stages and stuff. Most of it imo felt cringe and tend to be crowded if you missed a iota of a second before it started. I do know that the event utilizes the holoID stuff well, considering that they actually asked all of HoloID to made short video announcements for the convention regarding usual con etiquette and all that.

Most of the stuff I heard wasn't about the fact that they have free panels and more about how some lucky simps were able to be lucky to meet with the vtuber face to face thanks to the raffle stuff on that con. Considering how expensive it is and i'm a cheap-ass kind of guy, I rather spent finding the cosplayers than trying to waste it all and dont get it at all, just like that neckbeard foreigner risu simp I saw and talked.

That said, on the other side of things, I like the fact that the Niji fans are still strong in Indo, making stuff and cosplaying as them (even if it all just Luxiem and Noctyx stuff aaaaaaa). I still can't fathom the existence of Bonnivier dakimakura, however.

I just always asssume that it's everyone's first cosplays when I went to these kind of events, except when they actually gave you those cards with their cosplay photos and social media stuff on it. Also other local event... that one called Cosplay Smash?

Also yeah, I have to agree with your statement regarding Kobo. Kobo in Indonesia made it big, and the weebs, both normies and deep schizos level all know her. Nothing makes it real than having to hear everyone suddenly jamming to Mantra Hujan or seeing some random Hatsune Miku cosplayer being recorded singing it. Funny how it's the water-related vtuber that made it big.
