I don't know what is worse, if initiatives like Mint couldn't get people interested in linux, or the accretive sphere of human failures who continuously pontificate Arch like the ultimate OS solution for all ages. It's appalling, as it is right now that microsoft gave up on making software and is just packaging malware as an operating system.

I will use windows 10 until it's useless or until I don't need windows anymore

I've always wanted to use linux mint debian edition (based on the stable branch)


BTW I was a linux user like 10 years ago, and it was really good until I really needed office and epiinfo, and wine couldn't run it... and google is trying to fuse chromeOS and android together, so it might be a good enough alternative for a lot of people (included me as a secondary PC)

Arch and Debian are the same kind. By itself, shit distro for end user, but great foundation for other, more specific distros. Like Mint and Manjaro

in fact, microsoft has been so stubborn with 11, and their only reason to make it was because macOS changed it's name to "11" when ARM CPUs were presented... windows 10 was their 1st attempt to make a rolling release and it's good at it, but they're stupid

Only beefs I had with 10 was missing 7's aesthetic, splitting up settings away from control panel, ads built in, and telemetry. Last two were solved by people or running a better edition at least. 11 was too far for me, and gave me the final push for Linux.

The only things that are missing for me in Linux are drivers for a PCIe capture card, and a few games not working correctly. I've also had some issues with how segmented some tools are for getting Windows games running when sailing the seven seas (had an issue with Blue Prince not playing videos, apparently they run with ge versions of wine/proton, though).
