God bless Louis Rossman. After days of Linus and his dickriders going around twisting the story, he comes down to give Linus the biggest slap across the face. He really helps highlight how much of a snivelling weasel Linus is behind the scenes.
That was also my way of finding out Dodger apparently became a "she/they" at some point down the line. I liked her back in the day, not enough to continue watching her own content after TB's demise, but still, she seemed fun. Oh well.
Out of those three, TB always was the only one with actual gravity to him(even in spite of him being an absolute TDS-ridden sperg when it came to politics). Hardly a surprise that both of their content-creator careers seem to have more or less stagnated since his passing.
The reason I liked TotalBiscuit is because he was very principled in his work as a gaming consumer advocate, and would give frank commentary on public interest issues in and around the industry even if he knew he'd lose revenue, business opportunities, and even personal friends for doing so. It speaks volumes how during GamerGate, when everyone else decided to just pick a side and pander, he'd continue to just say what he meant and mean what he'd say in complete earnest, even though on a personal level all it ever did for him was earn him enemies.
His Trump seething did get obnoxious, but in hindsight I can forgive that since he was already incredibly ill by that point, and having everyone around him constantly fearmongering about Hitler 2.0 coming to take away his healthcare and deport him when he was already overwhelmingly aware of his own mortality would have fucked him up more than we could probably imagine, especially since he already had underlying OCD tendencies long before that. Even at his worst he didn't let it undermine his journalistic integrity, which I can respect.
If i recall the events correctly, the man somehow ended up being one of the most rational people in the whole GamerGate saga, because while everyone else ran to push their partisan politics of choice, for him it seemingly unironically was an issue of ethics in games journalism.
He would've loved the road gaming took in years since his passing
