More seriously, I think you could have avoided recent issues by stepping back in the moment before posting. Lincoln's advice about writing angry letters, putting them in a desk drawer, then coming back later to decide whether it was really a good idea to send them holds up.

I can do it most of the time. Especially when I have a solid pattern of life outside the internet. Gardening and social activities are an immense buffer against taking the internet seriously. Unfortunately, both of those are effectively off the table at the moment. Can't even travel right now, roads are mostly iced up. Exercise helps a little. I'll get over it.
