They aren't completely wrong but some of those items are very questionable and fall into a grey area. Stuff like gifts (subs and bits) can be deducted and are regularly deducted by companies all the time, but you have to prove that the gift is improving your business.

Well because making higher fidelity graphics is easy. Hardware manufacturers are making more powerful components all the time that can handle more polygons. And with that comes more features like ray tracing for better lighting and frame gen to push higher fps.
