When a clip comes up of a big vtuber talking about advice or insight for vtubing, it's always weird seeing comments from lower spectrum 1-views chiming in with their own takes on how to "make it". I guess there can be value in "do as I say not as I do"? Just saw a male vtuber say to go all in on lore and personal taste no matter what you think is more appealing so that you stand out. But his streams get 3-5 views sometimes and the presentation is really ugly/ghetto.
They serve as cautionary examples of what not to do.
Even from big creators, such advice is useless. Reminder that Pippa was very much against the idea of multistreaming when Kirsche started to do it. Even generic "best practice" type of advice is often useless.
So, one instance of one person being incorrect means that all advice big creators give is useless?

No, it's just an example i know that's relevant here and now.
All big creators basically got lucky with niche, timing and algo. This is the one piece of "advice" they all say unanimously: no matter how quality your content is, to get big you have to get some lucky strike.

Aye, I just watched a clip of a larger vtuber explaining that multistreaming is dumb and that YT is worse than Twitch for growth and interaction. Her connections, timing, luck, competency, legacy, and corpo affiliation weren't brought up. Personally one of the things I dislike about twitch is emote spam, the tendency for alerts to always be on and blaring, fucky rules and punishment, and short-fuse zoomers/alpha kids wandering in.
