- On the 20th of every month, Towa will be doing a stream where she introduces the original songs of current Hololive talents.
- More details in this post here but basically, fans will submit songs through a Google form where they can talk about why they love it.
- (June's application deadline has already passed as of last week).
- This was originally called "The Holo Member Original Song Introduction Project" but Towa and chat came up with a (thankfully) simpler name and a hashtag at the start of the stream. The hashtag is #ホロステ
- Towa will talk about the fans' thoughts on stream as well as the talents' own thoughts on their song (if they have the time to tell her about it).
- The format is pretty simple:
- Towa will introduce the song and artist, then talk about the fan comments that were given through the Google form.
- Afterwards, Towa will show the comments of the Holo talents themselves if they were able to write them down for her.
- Not all talents will be able to submit their thoughts as it depends on how busy they are.
- Towa will play the song on stream for everyone to listen to. If the song has an MV, she'll show it as well.
- She needs seperate permissions for that so it may not happen for all songs.
- For this first episode, no MVs were played as she couldn't get the permissions ahead of this
Song #1: GREATEST by Otonose Kanade

- They love how the song talks about Kanade's determination to walk down her own path no matter what happens
- Her dreams and her goals are her own rather than something set for her by someone else.
- Even though she's dealt a lot of anxiety even since debut, she was able to overcome those hardships and feel invincible
- It's a cheerful, upbeat song about overcoming those doubts that truly feels like "Kanade"
- Kanade's unstoppable and invincible determination to keep on going will give you energy and motivation
- (Personally speaking, in both the lyrics and the instrumentals, I could immediately hear the parallels between GREATEST and Ado's I'm Invincible. That alone put a huge smile on my face as soon as I heard it. Kanade may be an eternal kusogaki but man she knows how to brighten up someone's day. Even if she's reminding you that the next day is Monday)
Kanade's Comment:
Because this is my first original song, I wanted to cherish it and be able to sing it for a long time, so I wrote it with my current hopes in mind like "I want to be like this!" and "I want to believe in this!" When I was making requests for the song, I wrote down a few keywords to send to Nanahoshi Orchestra (the lyricist), who was able to turn it into a fiery, passionate song. I was determined to not give up and let my own fire lose to that so it became a song full of passion! This is a song about believing in yourself (which was one of the keywords). I want to believe that every time I chant these words and sing this song, I will grow stronger so I'll continue to cherish and sing it with care!
Song #2: Break It Down by Vestia Zeta

- They really like the song's theme of being true to yourself.
- There are many rules and trends in today's society but inside of it all, it feels like you don't lose sight of your goals and your identity.
- The way Zeta sung with all of this in mind really touched their hearts.
- The song's melody is amazing and a perfect match with Zeta's voice, which is both powerful and delicate. The energetic beat and refined sound will leave an unforgettable impact on you.
- It's full of Zeta's cool and powerful charms and has a positive message, inspiring those who listen to it
- This is a song meant for both students and working societal members, so please listen to it lots.
Zeta's Comment:
"I probably have more of a cute image than a cool one, so I wanted to show off my cool side with this song! The meaning of "Break it Down" is to love yourself and have confidence without worrying about the opinions of others. The most difficult part was learning the choreography, though I was the one that asked for choreography that would break my back lol. I also animated the chibi illustrations myself which was a lot of work!"
Song #3: My Song by Tsunomaki Watame
Fan Comments:
- My Song is their favorite song of all time. They often listen to it often before club matches and after they've made a mistake.
- Watame's singing voice touched their heart, especially with the way the final chorus conveys that there's glory at the end of your challenges, as long as you never give up.
- If you're going through a difficult time, this is definitely the song to listen to.
- Someone listened to My Song for the first time when they were outright exhausted both physically and mentally. It drove them to immense tears and gave them encouragement to keep going through those times.
- While it's Watame's song, it feels like it can be a personal song for everyone that listens to it
- Towa said that a bunch of the comments were along the lines of "This song gave me the courage to keep going."
- (Everyone already knows how beautiful My Song is, but it's also given me PBs at the gym so very easy recommend for exercise as well.)
Watame's Comment:
"My Song was the first song I performed at my 1st Sololive and I put so much emotion into it that I messed up the tune and rhythm! I can't say I sung it very well, but it still left a strong impression on everyone so it has become a fond memory. It had me in tears during its production as I had to speak about the times before Hololive when I considered quitting music forever, how applying to Hololive was basically a final chance for me to do this, as well as my feelings since joining Hololive. As the lyrics say, I want to keep taking on many challenges as I form proof of my own path to glory here in Hololive. I'd be happy if you could keep supporting my songs and thank you so much for choosing My Song!"
Song #4: Chronic by Anya Melfissa
Fan Comments:
- The catchy rhythm is a great fit for Anya's whisper-like voice. It seems to really have fun with Anya's playfulness and match the lyrics as well
- The lyrics are incredibly interesting and there are many interpretations, but some seem to think that it expresses the relationship between vtubers and fans.
- They appreciate the fact that being sung by a vtuber is exactly part of what gives the song its meaning
- This was Anya's first song in full English and even though she said she isn't good at it, you don't feel that at all when you listen to the song. Anya was fully able to show off her amazing English talent here.
- A few comments appreciated how they were able to see a side of her that they haven't seen before.
- A hidden gem that hopefully more people can appreciate.
Anya's Comment:
"This song was a challenge for me. None of my original songs up to this point were in English so I was a little worried about if I could sing it well. I don't really sing songs with full English lyrics so I was really concerned about whether it would be well-received by everyone or not. I think that vtuber songs have an image that originated with vocaloid songs and J-pop songs, so making a K-pop song was also quite a challenge. But I was the one who asked for this song to be like this because I like K-pop's cool and stylish songs lol. Asteroid Music Team's songs are all very well-made so for this song, I left all the details regarding the concept and lyrics to them! I am truly grateful for their help. There are also a lot of harmonies in the background which are just amazing, so you may want to pay attention to them while listening. In the end, this turned out to be a really cool and stylish song so I hope everyone listens to it lots! The lyrics are in English but I think the they're rather easy to sing, so feel free to do so at karaoke too!
PS: To other Holo members: if any of you want to sing it, I'll gladly send you an instrumental so please let me know!"
Song #5: Starlight by Oozora Subaru
Fan Comments:
- While watching 4th fes, the performance that left the biggest impression was Subaru's Starlight.
- Because of its upbeat, fast tempo, you could truly see the sharpness and coordination of her dance.
- The beautiful tone, the life-size choreography and lyrics dedicated to the 2nd Gen members.
- All of this really showed them "THIS right here is Oozora Subaru" and left them with pure joy.
- Could never forget seeing Subaru and 2nd gen perform this song together during her live. It's a wonderful song with an amazing story where you can feel Subaru's struggles and growth throughout the lyrics
- With the recently-released MV, you can see that all of 2nd Gen are precious, important friends to her. Whenever you listen to/watch it, you can genuinely feel the bond there and that's why they love it.
- It'll boost your mood when you're feeling down and make you forget you're even depressed. A song as bright as Subaru herself.

Song #6: Countach by Todoroki Hajime
Fan Comments:
- This song has a huge variety in terms of pitch. They really loved that you could feel both the coolness and the sexiness in Hajime's voice.
- The particular lyrics and how "I got it 壇上へ" sounds like "上がれ壇上へ" (small pun on how "I got it" sounds like "agare" in JP)
- Her singing voice is clear yet powerful and her choreography is so cool, you can't stop watching.
- It's easy to recommend cause you'll never get bored no matter how many times you listen to it
- A dark but cool and addicting song with choreography that Hajime made herself.
- Loved the way it was filled with everything that Hajime wanted to do, like how the dance could fully show off her skills and the singing was something she could imagine herself doing at a live. Even other pros did videos on how good the choreography was.
- The gap between the cool Hajime and the baby on stream.
Hajime's Comment:
"I absolutely wanted my first original song have this sorta dark vibe that you could dance to. The lyrics are about how this world is unfair and living honestly just ends up going nowhere. It'd be nice if we could live smarter but since we can't stop being honest with ourselves, what's the point in overthinking it? "May as well just dance woohoo!" was the sort of vibe I asked for. This is my personal interpretation but the word "doubt" can also mean doubting the world and even the truth. But doubting isn't always a bad thing and there are times where you have to face that doubt. Even if it's a pain in the ass, don't get carried away, look at it with your own eyes and make your best judgment. I requested for the sound to get quieter before the dance break because I wanted to create a sense of anticipation of what was going to happen next. I also thought that having different tempos in the sound would make it more erotic so that's how it ended up like this!"
Song #7: キスだけでいいからね (Just a Kiss is Enough) by Nekomata Okayu
This was basically a bonus song to help promote Okayu's 2nd Sololive so Towa didn't have time to collect fan comments.
Okayu's Thoughts:
"Just a kiss is... not enough
"Translation is kinda rough as I just did this on a whim in the middle of the night, so take some of it with a grain of salt. Not sure if I'll be consistent with these or if I'll even do the next one, but I think I'd like to since this is really cool of Towa to do and a great way to spread around the lesser-known Holo songs.
I said that in jest - the only way we can get more progressive is if we get progressively worse
There are a lot of trails in my area where people have disappeared and never been found.
