People not familiar with TVA or with forums in general probably won't understand what "Proctor Edit" means. May I suggest you change it to "Note added by TVA staff" or something like that, just to make it clear that part of the post isn't ours?

I was briefly bemused at the thought of being technically able to put "Featured in Vice News!" in my Twitter profile, but after reading the article, I've come to the conclusion that the author is a massive attention whore. I mean, I had come to that conclusion before, but this article truly drives it home - what other sort of person writes an entire article about the criticism and hate against them that they had to seek out? Note that while some of the things in the article were responses to tweets that the author would have been notified of directly, but the rest were from other tweet threads, image board threads, or threads here which they would have had to actively seek out. This writer puts the ego in "egosearching."
Furthermore, I think it doesn't require charity to see that my post was intended to be an even-handed interpretation of what this person was saying (back before I realized this person did not warrant even-handed interpretation), and the game with the pronouns was a joke at the reader's expense. But leave it to this egomaniac to interpret it as hate against themself.
So my take on this is that we should just do what we should do to all attention-whores - ignore them to the best of our ability. I know it's more fun to mock and shitpost, but that's what egomaniacs want us to do. It's far, far easier said than done, I know, but if you really want to hurt this person, don't bother misgendering them or calling them slurs or disparaging their journalism or whatever… If you want to hurt them, don't mention them at all. This post (where I did my best to avoid using their name) aside, I'll do my best to do my part.
