I feel more bad for Mumei because she had to make such an emotional and heavy decision and then what was supposed to be a time for her to say goodbye gets overshadowed by Gura graduating. I know it's a running meme that Gura would stream to siphon viewers away from the others but holy shit that's just wild to do it in graduation too.
It occurred to me while she was talking about snot earlier that 3/4 of SNOT are now gone or going.

Eh, this isn't too surprising for Media Production Pipelines. I know everyone thinks these things are slow in Cover, but not really? Cover probably could use an outside analyst to inspect their processes a bit, as they clearly have spots that cost time, but there's simply a lot of linearly dependent tasks in a lot of complex workflows. An artist breaking their wrist randomly can eat up months. Stuff like that.
SNOT was basically HoloEN for me. Of all the HoloEN girls I watched it was them. I really wish I could get into Advent and Justice more but there's just a sunk cost fallacy to EN1-2 that I would rather just not care about EN anymore aside for Kronii and Biboo.
That would depend on where things are getting stuck. Production issues are in the hands of the song writer, composer, mixer and MV maker. Paperwork issues are on Hololive(mostly).
I know it is not that simple, but others manage to produce 2-3 songs in that time or whole EPs and here's just one song?

Yeah. There's several youtubers I follow who used to post content regularly, but for years have irregularly posted a few videos a year, still the same quality as they used to, sometimes longer than normal, but their output just dropped. For some it's life-starting a family, IRL work, etc. Some just lost the drive for the output level, they used to have. I adjusted and just enjoy the surprise when their videos pop up and then go back to what I watch regularly. It's how I've treated Gura for a long time, how i plan to treat dooby's stream bursts, and how I'll treat whatever Gura does if it's stream, music, or video related. I worry about mumei vanishing forever because she was always enjoyably weird and it'd suck not to see stuff from her even just occasionally.
Only the Holomems that have signed with a label have an active producer working with them, I believe. So they're acting as they're own. It's a lot of wrangling that has to happen to put an album out. And the streamer is normally the primary one that needs to be wrangled. This actually isn't surprising. The streaming talents are functionally independent contractors under Cover Corp, in many ways.
Mazu did the Myth's Bad End animation series. I can see why it took a while.
Also, that was almost a Riot-Core type of song, which is interesting.
Side point, but this probably matters a lot now. Gura's original music content tends to have themes of fighting against herself. That probably shouldn't be ignored, at this point.
As chumbud, I will say that I think Gura isn't completely faultless in this. Her perfectionist nature probably means everyone involved may have to redo their part multiple times which caused delay.
It's the same for Full Color never being released. If we were to compare it with Kronii's Souten ni Moyu and FauMei's It's Not A Phase, both of those songs were delayed too but it still ended up being released in the end. I wouldn't be surprised if Gura somehow rather have the song be never released than for it to be released in the state not up to her standard.
Every day I wish she had had the drive of Calli or Bae. Amazing voice and still my favorite in all holo, even if we only got a few original songs out of it.
I didn't interpret the lyrics too deeply but it obviously was about her time in Hololive somehow. Will need to relisten to it.
I firmly believe someone could tell Gura "yeah I could probably do your work in 2, no 3 months" when she needs it in 1 and she would just go "oh ok" and wait instead of discussing solutions or workarounds.
Nimi or Dottovu is the ones that'll be able to summon Mumei in the future. She's close to finishing her master's, right? She's the one we won't see much.
