Users who would like to be able to add to the Threadmark system (as in Threadmark any post in a thread) should @ me in the Forum Discussion thread or send me a DM. I will be assigning these privelges individually to those who request it.
Any content that does not fall into any of the above categories can be discussed in the General Thread as usual. Users are now allowed to create new threads on companies and individual vtubers if they so desire, which can be approved by moderators.
I know the jokes, but there are a good number of people that need less sleep. Sleep Science is far less well defined than people realize and how you roll on your genetics can have some wild effects. Know a guy that has one of the mutations where his family doesn't actually need sleep in the traditional sense. I don't recommend just staying up like they're prone to doing, but if Kaela only needs 5 hours max... sleeping that long will cause more issues.
Militaries have been researching the amount of needed sleep for years, and Western populations almost perfectly align to 7 hours being optimal in the broad sense. Everyone is a little different, but 6 hours is normally enough. If you're one of the other side of the genetics, more than 8 could cause you issues.
The kind of funny bit about Vtubers, is if you're paying attention, you can normally figure out the ones that badly need a real relationship. It's not that the women are less menhara; it's the scale of it.
I will say that I do really like the channel points stuff on Twitch and wouldn't mind seeing YouTube do something similar. Advertisements are far less obnoxious on YouTube though.
so im gonna distract you with the youtube vs twitch Yamanbafaggotry for a minute to ask the question that if vtubers would thrive on either platforms if its format was still the same as it was on 2010 aka the good old days
She's practicing for the Twitch Rivals event and is going super tryhard for it. Apparently some of the other streamers that were made captains just grabbed other big named streamers while she went after people that were top 500 to crush them. Doki isn't here to have fun, she wants to win.
iirc from the drama the only problems she could face is for merchandising rights, so the lazy option to just sort that out and continue to coast is right there...but it really wouldn't be that hard to commission a legally distinct version fans would hardly notice the difference over. She'd hardly be the first vtuber to make it big on public models and then rebrand once they were in a position to take it serious.

Other then moderation what makes them any different from today?
Also if we went back then we would only have video on yt I believe which you then loose reaction from chat, and donos. Would that improve some possible.
VODs and ADs are beside the point, my point is only about streaming itself. Though yeah, twitch could use some flexibility with midstream ads (like option to play it alongside the stream).
It's not ideal but I'm not sure missing one night's sleep is worse for you than e.g. getting properly drunk (which we have plenty of streams doing). But yeah, it shouldn't become something people compete over, and honestly the industry could do with some safety standards.

Everyone I can think of who's done that has had a far more tight-knit community - like, Filian might quite possibly have the most casual viewers of any vtuber. I mean yeah I'm sure she'd survive, and I'm sure she's prepared to do that if push comes to shove, but I do think it would be a bigger risk for her than basically anyone who's ever done it.
Arguing over whether YouTube or Twitch is better is retarded, they're both shit options in different ways and vtubers are better off building their brand on both platforms in case one of them deletes your account through no fault of your own.
you see, some guy open up a random category. Browse all the way to page 1725 to find a 1-view vtuber and then shout at the internet "TWITCH DISCOVERABILITY IS SO FUCKING GOOD I WOULD NEVER FIND SOMEONE LIKE THIS ON YOUTUBE". Then a million other twitch viewers who are also doing the exact same thing everyday, elevating every 1-view in twitch into 3-views, except this never happened, noone does this. But twitch tribalfag keep huffing "discoverability" like some kinda holy grail against Youtube.
It's the same on every platform, you need marketting to grow your viewerbase. "Discoverability" doesn't do shit. That 2-view youtube recommend you all the time, you likely not clicking them or not browsing them after your first stream. Being in corpo means the corpo do the marketting for you. Being an indie means you have to do it yourself

Format on twitch is the exact same except you can spam DMCA music and save vods back in those days. I guess subathon wasn't a thing back then.
Don't think you can even stream on youtube then? But the algorhithm really love skits/highly edited videos and promotes the shit out of them. Indie vtubers will struggle while corpo will thrive, similar to early kizuna era. Nijisanji would probs still on top. Corpos would still die left and right as they mistreat their vtubers.
