slightly vtuber unrelated but Mythic Talent's parent company, OTK, is in real danger of imploding as they started doing layoff right before christmas
The company made negative money. OTK original co-founders stopped interacting with other OTK streamers, one of them got removed for being a perp. Most collaborations effort are being run by their new hire Emiru/ExtraEmily. Asmongold, their biggest streamer/co-owner has become a full right wing nutjob after his Chinese Gacha arc, for some reason Genshin Impact/Honkai Starrail makes people racist???
Out of touch millionaire co-owner Nick Polom blames OTK firing 8 staffs right before christmas on .... reddittors.
He then had a melty because his PUBLIC discord message got posted to said platform.
Their youtube channel's last video was 10 months ago, and their twitch channel for OTK rebroadcast events to 26 viewers.
Beside owning Mythic Talent & a Youtube channel that doesn't upload, OTK are also the parent company of:
- Starforge Systems: Overpriced pre-built PC seller with a dick as their logo, never really took off. At launch they only offers 4070Ti/4080, very out of touch for the vast majority of gamers using 4060. They do offer a "Casual" line for 4060 Ti nowadays, but the brand already stuck.
- Mad Mushroom: a game devs specializing in making games noone plays
- A world of warcraft e-sport team: fired all players after 1 year and becomes defunc
- Weplay Studios: This one actually works? They are the content org behind an event called OTK expo, they also are credited for Filian's The Vtuber Awards this year.
