Regardless of how you feel about Cover, Stars getting close to equal opportunities and support as Holo is already a huge luxury. In the end, Stars as a whole just does not make as much profit as the Holo does and I can see why they allocate a smaller budget to them.
Yes, they don't make as much profit but not even deigning to have the EN side (who is more profitable than JP) involved in what slashed New Years stuff they do have now is a stupid move. Also knowing this close to the New Year there's no Countdown? People don't like being surprised with bad news.
