Koyori with more DQ3 remake.

Ririsya will try to sing while walking on a treadmill to reach 90k subs starting 1PM JST.

I have already subscribed a long time ago but I hope this stream isn't a short one for various reasons.

Shioriha Ruri will play the fifth chapter from the first Ace Attorney at 2PM JST. I believe this one was added to the DS and uses the mic for a gimmick.

She will also celebrate her first year at 7PM JST.

Suisei tries to compete with Ryza-level thighs.

Back the fuck down suisui, the car-girl's thighs are unbeatable.

Nah man dying on a hill flipping both birds to Big Electric and costing them an absolute fortune in opps they died gift baskets and countless more in the cost of the solider procedure is a baller move.

Also Genesis is bitch boi prime always has been.
I haven't played FF7 so I'm gonna read it off based on real life
If like say, Mark Zuckerberg lost a bunch of employees to an union strike, he wouldn't give a shit. He's actively trying to cut jobs instead.
Sure some low level scientist made it their life work to promote that batch of soldier, but in a macro scale, the company don't care. It's like smearing feces at the wall thinking "haha the company will be so mad cleaning this up" when it's only the janitor
Heck if you look at Samsung, which is more similar to Shinra of today, they have companies who competes with each other and the CEO couldn't care less who win or lose.
Nomura has enough sway to bring on the writers he likes, though: namely, one Kazushige Nojima. Nojima was brought onto FF7 late so he didn't have the ability to fuck up much, but he has since written all of the Crisis Core stuff, the Kingdom Hearts series, Advent Children, FF8 and X, and so on (but NOT 9, which is why 9 has such an interesting idea and better writing behind it, the FF6/Chrono Trigger guys wrote and worked on that one). Nomura isn't directly and personally responsible for everything that went wrong with Square Enix, but people put it at his feet because the team and culture he fostered is just not very good at their jobs compared to the original team at Square. The company went from having some of the most ground-breaking JRPG ideas in gaming to edgy teen anime schlock. For those of us that grew up with stuff like Chrono Trigger and FF6, it's just an obvious step down.
Interesting, almost everyone I know loved FF7 and FF8. There were so many "Squall Leonhart" name+avatar on facebook back in the days. This is the first time I see someone openly trash FF7/FF8 and favor FF IX (which is also my favorite game as well, granted I haven't finished V and VI)
>Kazushige Nojima wrote the FFX 2.5 novel and FFX - Will - the audio drama
:vomit::vomit::vomit::vomit::vomit::vomit::vomit:
"What if I shit on this beloved franchise 10 years after its release for absolutely no reason at all" - Nojima wakes up one day
For people not in the know:
The novella & audio drama were set after FFX-2 true end. Sin is now alive again because why the fuck not. Tidus is killed by a fucking grenade and revived again. Yuna breaks up with Tidus because woman moment.
It was fully amped for a FFX-3. But the Novella & Audio drama was so unpopular and got so much backlash from fans that it was never given the go ahead. Then Nojima doubled down on interview and say "I wrote them without any plan for X-3"

Biboo's Prism no Mahou Ludokano remix is premiering 2 hours from now.
:BijouBijou:

Honestly? I like Ludokano's remix better than the original version. I prefer the orginal MV, though.

FF9 has some of the best thematic ideas in the entire franchise. Vivi and Kuja grappling with death is something that literally every human on earth has an emotional understanding of, it's fundamental to the human condition and that's part of what makes the game so good.

To be fair to the original FF7, however, I think it's very good. But that's at least partially because the original team was also working on it and wasn't letting the shittier writers run completely rampant. And the ending starts to go into bad Nomura territory anyways, specifically with Marlene somehow knowing what was happening for no fucking reason and Aerith being the sole reason for Holy actually repelling Meteor instead of helping it, despite the fact that the rest of the Cetra were also in the Lifestream and she wouldn't have any more agency than the rest of them at that point (Which cheapens the impact of her death, she had already cast Holy and it should have just worked instead of needing Aerith again for no reason, remembering Aerith's sacrifice without her face being plastered on the screen as the planet is saved would have been much more meaningful IMO).

FF8 is just straight up bad though. Art design and music are still really good, but the plot is just.... not great.

Why are they in a school, Nojima?

Guys, why the fuck is he like this...?

They offer literally nothing when all the girls play the exact same games, actually finish them, enjoy them far more and do their best to beat it. And they are all weebs who like more or less the same things as their fans so there is that too. It's the same reason why Niji girls had so much female fans from Luxiem - they were the exact same fujoshis who were also shipping male livers on stream, talked about BL shit and played the same otome games.
Tempus actually had a bit of a burgeoning audience as the "bro-tuber" vibe version of male corpo chuubas, granted that was mostly carried by Vesper and Magni. That audience pretty much died with their joint suicide - with most of that audience probably migrating over to Vesper when he became Randon again.

Bae survived the 24 hour marathon and dropped a banger cover, Kokoronashi:

That's actually a pretty impressive cover. Didn't quite expect Bae's voice to improve by that much.

7 was fantastic in its day and in itself, but in hindsight I'd say it had a really negative effect on Square as a company, the culture of their development, and in their broad fanbase. Every meme about how absurd Kingdom Hearts is has its roots in the wild success of 7 and how incredibly self-indulgent it and everyone involved with it became, an attitude Square never really recovered from despite it driving them onto life support through the years. 10 was the last genuinely good FF - 14 has done a lot of work keeping the brand valuable but it's got dubious longevity after Endbringers showed some flaws and Dawntrail is just ok, 15 was almost great but they fumbled it hard at the end, and 16 was forgotten almost as soon as it launched. Instead of learning, resetting the clock with the remakes, they take FF7R and double down on the worst and most absurd aspects. The original plot is still fine and the new character interactions show they can write gold if they want, but the new plot stuff added? It's just...nonsense.

I keep missing the new girls, but they seem wild. I wonder if they'll bring more collabs with Kson and Henya, they've kind of been doing their own thing for a while now.

FFVIII has a more "mature" look which is more attractive to kids, who think Squall has the most badass design ever (to be fair, I do like his design too). Meanwhile FFIX is perceived as being "childish" because of its aesthetic, despite its story being extremely dark with a very high deathcount. I still remember one of my classmates back in high school who constantly trashed on FFIX because "its main character has a tail".

She actually had been working on the cover for 2 years. Partly because of production delays but also because she couldn't properly sing the song for a long time.

And then FFX outright endorsed the klan, eugenics and happy festival fireworkds detonating above ground for maximum Al-Bhed flavor.

Why are they in a school, Nojima?

WHY DOES EVERYTHING IN BAD JAPANESE WRITING HAVE A SCHOOL, NOJIMA

WHY

Holy was never helping Meteor, it was simply held back until it was nearly too late to have an effect. Sephiroth was restraining Holy from the North Crater, and he was trying to stop Aerith from casting it at the Forgotten City by way of manipulating Jenova LIFE to strike her down. He failed to stop it's casting, but he could still keep it from emerging due to the presence he had in the lifestream, and he needed to hold it off since the entire reason it didn't manage to destroy Meteor immediately is by the time it had been freed, the gravity generated by Meteor was dispersing it's focus too much. Aerith managed to wrest control of a portion of the lifestream itself, not Holy, to push Meteor back enough for the energy of Holy to focus enough to stop Meteor finally.

Marlene, idfklmao, most of what I remember she just sensed Aerith's spirit when she activated the White Materia to cast Holy and I always kind of read that as typical "Mystical Child" bullshit on top of the fact that she'd spent some time with Aerith, probably developed some kind of bond to her energy or some shit. I think this is shown in a different sort of way in the Remake when Aerith is saving Marlene from Seventh Heaven during the plate drop and Aerith gives her a spooky touch that is kind of implied to be Aerith showing Marlene glimpses of the future that she's becoming aware of. Broader implications with Remake trilogy and Ever Crisis is kind of leaning towards the fact that both Sephiroth and Aerith are now sort of deific beings whose awareness and presence spans not only time, but other dimensions and maybe even whole-ass other FF games if you read too much into the 'what if' story beats of the crossover events in EC talking about how the lifestream reaches other worlds as the handwave excuse for why teenage Sephiroth and post-Nibelheim Cloud/Tifa can exist in the same place whilst taking over the roles of other game protagonists. I blame all this shit on the same fuckboy scenario writer that threw in "That Shinra Al Bhed kid is the one that founded the SEPC on Gaia!" that they've alluded to in Remake with the old-timey photos of Shinra's founder wearing the same gas mask in the "photo of the company founding" you can see on the wall in the part of Remake you're running around inside the company.

Appending this here in another edit, but another reason some wacky shit goes on with original 7's story is because I'm pretty sure the entire thing was translated by one dude in a month. A lot of the shoddy translation problems that can be blamed for some clarity loss comes down to that. The real intention could be gleaned if you play the japanese original yourself I'm sure, you won't get the same thing from the Remake since it's very clearly by now a pseudo-sequel and not a true remake. OG7 has already happened by canon of 7R, the entire climax of the first game literally boils down to "The legacy of OG will fall apart if you go this way" because you're defying the strict canon that Sephiroth is trying to enforce.

8, lol who knows. I think they were just trying to piggyback some popular trope of the time or some shit, but I've listened to a breakdown recently about 8 specifically that I can't source right now, if I'm remembering right they had wildly more plans in mind for it but it was turning into a development hell situation and this wasn't yet current year when projects could just languish in stasis for all eternity, it was release or die so they hacked together what they could and pushed it out and that explains a lot of what's wrong with it. Or the school shit is just because Japan is such a massive cucked country that the best span of their lives is the slight amount of relative freedom and opportunity they have in high school ages before they become wageslaves or permaneets and so they just populate all their media with this fantasy ideal setting because it was the last time any of them had a speck of hope for the future.

It actually gets worse if you consider that the plot they seem to be implying towards in Remake coincides with some metaplot from the Ever Crisis mobile game, a consideration that there might be two aspects of Sephiroth working against one another, that the Lifestream expands through time and space and can serve as a bridge between realities and my own crackpot glue-huffing theory that this is all looped in with the multiversal cosmology of Strangers of Paradise and some loose inferrence that 14 is also a sort of melting-pot situation in the same dimensional snaffle. The idea that the various FF worlds are separate dimensions that are different designs to examine the effects of the balance of Light and Dark in the creation of a third primal force of Chaos that can destabilize existence to the point of cataclysmic destruction, that Jack Garland/Chaos, Emperor Mateus and Gilgamesh are or have at least crossed these boundaries once and there is the "hub" of Lufenia that can connect to all of them where a power to completely reset and cycle entire dimensions into stable time loops to keep repeating events with minor alterations to see how they affect the outcome, especially because the end of the DLC chapters would seem to canonize the idea of Dissidia being something that came into being after all that as a separate kind of balancing factor.

My absolute deranged thought is that SE is canonizing this slowly with the Lifestream being a multiversal energy source that may be a leak from Lufenia after the damage that had been dealt to them by Jack, and Sephiroth has escaped Dimension 7 and seen the true nature of their reality, it's created a schism in his personality of Pre/Post Revelation Sephiroth, with Pre still being about commanding Jenova cells to destroy the planet and turn it into a vessel to propagate Jenova all over again, and Post realizing that he's just been a pawn as a tool of the Dark to play a role and now realizes that the only way to realize his goals is to break the cycle. Knowing that Cloud will always staunchly oppose whatever course of action that Sephiroth seems to be heading towards, he keeps trying to steer Cloud and co into the 'canon' story for OG7 knowing that they will absolutely defy him until he can get them into a point where Cloud and the rest are the ones that break the cycle, and Aerith realizes this end goal shift and is the opposing force trying to work against Sephiroth's railroading without ever explicitly detailing why, because knowing about the cycle will doom the cycle. Aerith is keeping everyone in the dark about it all because to follow Sephiroth's plan, or to explicitly know the end goal of Sephiroth's plan, are both win states for Sephiroth.

Absolutely ignore all of this because this is just one autistic retard's absolute drug hallucination but this is my Pepe Silvia moment and I am hanging dead from the rafters with red thread by now. FF is such a massive clusterfuck anymore and SE can't leave well enough alone, they know how much of a money maker their classic titles are and so they absolutely will do anything they can to continue to milk the old guard now that later titles aren't pulling the same hype besides 14, and they're turning that into an even bigger theme park with the newest alliance raid series being a direct connection to FF11, something they've done events for twice now but have gone full hog on. Presumably, I've yet to get to them. I've literally not even started the DT MSQ despite having bought in on pre-order to be able to start leveling the new jobs during the pre-release early access period and then stop playing for 5 months.

FFVIII has a more "mature" look which is more attractive to kids, who think Squall has the most badass design ever (to be fair, I do like his design too). They're so focused on Zidane's tail yet they don't grasp that Garnet's got the finest ass in all FF.
