Even if her intent is to take it easy, people flocking around her while she's doing less is still a fact. It sounds like I'm being a Holo anti or whatever but the fact still stands that she got noombas while coasting, and no I don't believe she's gonna beat her own average CCV as Aqua, but she also doesn't need to forfeit 50% of her revenue to the company, so it balances it out.
If she so desire to have MVs, studio events or even a 3D Live, she got enough support and the network to commission a team and get them done while "having less", like Peroroncino (Akari). Granted, we don't know her living expenses, but I don't believe someone who can't even talk in public properly would live in luxury.
I'm gonna state that I wish her the best and I think anyone in Holo is allowed to leave and be successful without it having to invite scorn on either the talent or corpo. Any ex-holo is gonna be successful unless they torch their own popularity like Mike, and the company will simply have to elevate new talent like they've always done. This is gonna keep happening regardless of whether Holo is good or bad.

As for organizing things herself... this is aqua we're talking about. :SelenHAHAhere: She's probably just gonna settle back into FPS autism.

Honestly the fact that two ex holos were welcomed back really warmly should be a compliment to a company who managed to uplift them as much as they did.
Niji's ex members always carry an air of "what could've been" and have been very negative about their experiences. And arguably, (out of the amicably graduated ones) only Matara and Mint seem like they stuck. Quinn is a retard, Sunny and Mogu are too early to tell and Hex seems like he just slunk back into his niche. Sayu was mindbroken by the storm of autism and she either does stupid shit on her own or Nijisisters still give her grief over her bad experiences. Kuro killed his shitty audience but seems happier as a result

The real problem with Nijisanji is that people seem to quit because they aren't welcome by the community within Nijisanji.

Gonna quote what Aqua herself said about the company:

It's not as simple as "Number go high, she's an immediate success for life." I feel like we've talked about this a ton already but Holo offers so much as a company. The sponsors, the connections with artists/producers/musicians, the 3D tech, the ability to go on stage, the protection that management offers, the branding itself. For the Holo girls that are trying to be the best idols they can be, this stuff is incredibly necessary for them and not something they'd just throw away on a whim. Even the girls like Fauna and Luna who don't care much about the idol stuff and wanna chill, they understand how important all of it is to their overall success.

So I doubt Sakuna's debut can be something to "leverage" against the company or whatever. It's ultimately about how much you're willing to deal with nip corpo autism for the sake of your goals. Aqua moved on cause after 6 years, she just wanted to take it easy and do her own thing. Seems to be the same for Ame as well. It's good to see that numbers were high, but I'm fairly certain neither of them cared that much and are more focused on what they wanna do for the future.
The thing the anti-corpo retards on Twitter and elsewhere don't realize is that these graduates being successful isn't the gotcha they think it is. At this point, Hololive isn't about becoming popular as a streamer, it is about being able to be more than that and having the support system to do so.

Late thoughts on these:
Has Dooby posted a schedule anywhere? Apparently she's streaming sometime tonight, but I don't know when.
IIRC, she mentioned in her debut stream that she won't be posting schedules just because she wants to just be able to do what she wants and switch things around mid-stream like playing (and I'm paraphrasing the example she cited) Osu for 15 minutes and then getting bored and then switching to CS and playing that for 6 hours. Said she didn't want to post a schedule for an activity/game as she doesn't want people coming into the stream with nailed-down expectations for what game she's gonna be playing or what she should be doing.

Which I think is really telling on one of the things she found restrictive as Ame. You post a sched and you're stuck with that game/activity regardless of whether you're bored with it or not. Really comes off as her just really wanting the breathing space to fuck around and do whatever the fuck she wants throughout the stream.
No. She was only relevant because she leeched top streamers like asmongold, those top streamers threw her away because her novelty wore off. She struggled and eventually sold off her vtuber model and technology to some university. She is just your average flesh twitch camwhore now.
Codemiko should be the Exhibit A of the argument on why top-of-line-3D/VR tech doesn't necessarily make you a better chuuba.
Filian is getting ready to grift collab with Dooby3D.
All these retards fucking circling and I hope she just leaves them on "seen."

At this point I think it's pretty obvious that you apply to Hololive if you want to be on a stage, dance, sing, make albums etc. A live performer in all things but flesh.
Ame and Aqua both seem like they'd rather stream 6 hours a day than go to dancing and singing classes, sign merch, or record stuff.

I think this is either their unicorns leaked from vt or tourists/secondaries shitting up their timeline with Dooby x Cover baitposts.

One example:

A bit pedantic, the tech is there for some years, more advanced VRC setups already used translation to 3D environments back in 21/22.
But I agree on the sentiment, COVER corpo bullshit sets them back too often, it's still insane that 3view/4view indies got shit better done than the AR company. It's been years since Kizuna last live and HoloFes still havent topped it.

Late response, but I've been ruminating on this ever since seeing it yesterday afternoon. I think a lot of people who are overzealous in assigning Dooby all of the glory for having done this are kinda missing the point as to why her doing this is actually groundbreaking.

The tech is already there. Nobody disputes this. If you have enough money, and are comfortable getting everything set up, obviously it'll be rather impressive when you manage it, especially if it's all on your own. But the issue is that the people who are paying money for setups like this are not really entertaining enough for that ability to matter. It's kinda like how some aspiring vtubers will pay money for extremely high effort models and rigging before they even know if streaming is for them - if they can't find an audience, there's no real reason to try and go all-out and waste money. And maybe that's a sad fact of the entertainment industry, but that's just how it is.

Look at Code MIko. She's incredibly tech-savvy, and the demostrations of that tech are really cool. I don't think anybody really disagrees with that. The issue comes down moreso not to having done it, but both being a proven entertainer and having the ability to set something like this up. A lot of the vtubers who put all of this effort into high-tech setups kinda get lost in the tech itself and forget that having a personality is incredibly important to actually getting eyes on you.

My hope with Dooby3D is that she'll be able to actually work in a production/consulting capacity to help raise up major indies and small corpo girls who haven't had the opportunity to have more robust home 3D set things up in such a way that it allows them to show off things that they just wouldn't have had the ability to do before. That seems to be what her major desire is based on what she's written on her website. But I also hope that her doing this also allows the corallary to be true - that some of these techies who have the technology, and the capacity to entertain, but not the audience will be able to work together with her to find that audience. Because I'm sure some of them could likely actually go quite far if given the right amount of polish, but they just haven't really found their footing yet.

That's right. Only libtards, who are barely human by the way, eat plants.
Can confirm. I consume silly amounts of chinese cabbage and bellpeppers, and I've been voting democrat all my life.

And I will make Suisei and Aqua eat their damn vegetables.
She opened the floodgates with this one, there's no precedent for this level of success. I am really, really interested now to know what the fuck made she jump ship, it feels that Hololive just lost a huge piece of the brand and I can't wait for the next investor meeting.
I also didn't expect these numbers after she got half a million bucks off her graduation stream, was expecting at most 100k ccv just because of her legacy.
She is now proof of concept that you won't really lose much even as a top dog if you quit. Good luck to the company because if they're not stupid, this is a huge leverage for the talents to keep them on their toes.
People said the same about kson, and look where she is now.

And then there's Rushia.

Just because it's working for Aqua, and in her very first stream doesn't mean it's going to work for others. Or long term.
At this point I think it's pretty obvious that you apply to Hololive if you want to be on a stage, dance, sing, make albums etc. A live performer in all things but flesh.

Ame yes. Aqua was already into idol stuff before Hololive, it really was the opportunity of a lifetime for her. She definitely liked it and was there for it while she was there. She got her own sololive for a reason.

But after six years, she might well have decided that she has accomplished what she wanted, time to chill.

Get better weeb friends, they'll ask what you like before recommending stuff.
You forgot Akari got signed by SONY or what?

That is a huge factor with Nina and Mysta, but Pomu always seemed to have an okay and very loyal community as Matara has said (iirc). And it seemed like the main reason Pomu left was because she was seemingly neglected project wise (i still member that suprise unprivated member's stream) is kinda im talking about

Sorry, my point was that a lot of Nijisanji talents got so much shit in Nijisanji that they get less shit after leaving. I am including JPs in this, too, since the infighting is an issue there, too.

As a newfriend, i was legitimately somewhat concerned over that "not feeling well" post(as it went up before she changed the name), but apparently it's something she's done on previous Halloween

yeah, Alice is the spooky alt-sona for Jelly, and a perfectly normal girl with absolutely nothing wrong with her whatsoever (she debuted shortly after Jelly's obsession with The Song of Saya)

she should collab with Crustacean Empathy Darkness and Hellme, I think they'd get along just fine!

That's a very convincing point, I can't argue with that. Even in that case I can see people offering to organize FPS tournaments in her stead.

I think the difference there is that both Kson became a fleshposting whore spreading her legs with her lesbo friends and Miguelgato is herself, she doesn't have a character and she maintains her lolcow status frequently on Twitter and crying wolf on stream. You can't really say that when their content changed drastically.
You forgot Akari got signed by SONY or what?
I was trying to remember if she had a backing or not midway, you're right. :guradumbl:

didn't this happen with another vtuber and she got basically fucked by the algorithm once the people left? I hope it doesn't happen to her but these stories don't always end good.

VTUBER BOOST STORIES

Overseas
Fans

Basically, she caught fire while supas still flew, ended up with 50+ subs
Streams here now - also 50k subs. Streams mostly on twitch but round a 2 view. Now days I think she might be depressed which relates to her numbers

Streamers

Video shows low 2view with 300 subs. Now she has 61k. She was part of a group, got good watch numbers before the raid of 200~ people and has decent English skills. That along with her insane singing streams contributed to her subs more then anything but she does have lots of oversea fans. She's a 3 view now.
@KakushakuRin
They seem to be friends now so that's cool too.

Zero overlap and negligible impact. Ohayama's numbers didn't change and the VOD isn't even public. JP don't care

More important then subs, she made a friend. Korean streamers are hard to track now and she was sort of popular before. No boost

Domestic
Tetris

Hananoki got a massive influx of subs and the VOD sits at 140+k subs, got a two stream buff and back to earth. She's got a newish design and 2/3 view numbers.
@hananokimaru

Friends

@KuonRan - collab was on her channel - 77k views. Two stream buff and back to reality, no real increase in subs
@Shinotsuki_Lupi - looks like she nuked her old VODs but I remember watching her after the collab for a bit. Nothing really changed views wise but looks like a new model!

Basically she wanted to spotlight vtubers under 10k on her channel. Everyone was a rookie vtuber
@rou_hatsuki‬ - barely over 10k subs, got a couple of streams buffed and back to 2/3 view
@nemuch.5483‬ - 18k, interesting case as she can create her own numbers (biggest streams are Hololive watch alongs) Otherwise she is super streaky. Success for sure tho
@NatsukiAyato‬ - 2.8k - gotta join niji as a guy - low 2 view still
@uchu_yuru‬ - 8.9k - follows the small buff and 2/3view pattern
@RenSuzuri‬ - 18.9k - Part of a group, created good 3view numbers before and had the Matsuri boost stream be her monetization. Savy but still a 2/3 view streamer now
@Yoiboshi_Yu‬ - 3.6k - the other guy - created some numbers but little buff and stuck only doing Karaoke as a 2view
@A_S_Syndrome‬ - 33.4k - breakout girl. Interestingly she went on Matsuri's stream before debuting. Solid start and settled into 3 view.
Basically, 4/7 got over 10k and only one is a 3 view. Still, no doubt better then nothing

Long term she got an increase in numbers so from 2 view to 2/3 view. Pretty good boost from the return stream, like a few months.
@asakura_konoha

Won the Kson watch along contest
Mona's views have been steady for 5 years. I think her ad campaign (how I found out about her) looking for international viewers and sibling content were the main drivers for subs. It was for me. RIP bronaca.
@monach.3664
Both were happy to be Kson's friend as well

Won Calli remix conert and started to write songs for Hololive
The box is strong, her best live a 2nd fest watchalong. She's a mid 3 view but more importantly she collabs with other mid 3 vsingers, has a 3D and deticated fans. Special shoutout to her mods who translate most streams. Overall, an obvious plus.
@RirisyaMusic

28k subs now, was at ~3k and went to 5k after being picked for the tournament. Sustained exposure will give more subs and looks like she made the best of it and is a 3/4 view now. Good job!
@moshu.o

Gained 2k+ subs and sits at 13k now. Buff was tapered instead of sudden and she went from a low 2 to 2/3 view but now is just a solid 2 view.
@miiya517

Clear and the Jaxa rocket that blew up. She was so sad but her numbers are much better after!
Otsuka ray? Funny her Spanish intro is close to a million while the EN one is at 100k. SP love moms huh?
Pippa and the Chinchilla - not much growth, kinda flipped the audience from Jp to En, but more money in supers and members.

Not mentioned are VT girls like Temako

Conclusion - "Kaigai-niki's" are annoying but if you want subs that's the way to go. Views sink either way unless you catch a sustained wave
Naraetan is at 7k now and a solid 3 view since the tweet.

Let me know other cases of vtubers getting boosted. Curious about more EN savior cases...

I'd be surprised if she didn't do some 3D shit in the future. The difference is that it will be secondary stuff to streaming, rather than front-and-center.

An EN/JP 2view that is pretty interesting

Her videos are subtitled and infomative

Speaking of informative JP subbed videos Fairy got banned on twitch

I wonder if this is the rule she broke: "Content that focuses on clothed intimate body parts such as the buttocks, groin, or breasts for extended periods of time."
She's massive but clothed... Plus they literally cover half her body

In 14 hours Liz is going to be announcing some good news. What is it that she’s announcing? We will have to see, my guess is it’ll be an Original Song.

And the surprise announcement is…..Liz will be releasing official covers of western songs on streaming platforms like Spotify!

Her first cover is Blackbird by The Beetles! It will release this Wednesday October 30th.

VTUBER BOOST STORIES
Off the top of my head - Hiyori Lara (something on twitter, but her numbers were always pretty decent for an indie), Otsuka Ray and Hachi got big Taiwan boosts. Hoshikage Lapis had a bunch of JP indie festivals/contests/big collabs.
I feel like I see a lot of JP 10K high2/low3-views do 3D lives, concerts etc. too. There's still a lot more opportunity in JP to be essentially a temp mascot.

The Same Aqua that had a Sololive??????
