The way she recounts her time in college tells me she was dealing with some hard depression so I assume it was after her dad died and then she sold her soul to that company. She basically skipped the years in which she would find a husband and then went into a job that doesn't let her have a social life. Add her autism and anxiety and you have a recipe for a forever alone girl.
