I have a question about that Animal Crossing sound effect extension she's using.

Is it playing a different tone depending on what key is pressed? Theoretically, could someone figure out which sound is which, to find out what she's typing when the screen's hidden?

(No I'm not quite autistic enough to actually do this, I'm just curious)

It does sound a bit different (maybe faster typing) but that's how the game does it, no? I think she mentioned before, she was worried about a password and disabled it. So... probably!

It should be, each letter in Animal Crossing has a different sound connected to it.

She has muted when typing passwords in fear of someone doing just that

i doubt it correlates to letters, i don't think there are enough sounds to even correlate.
however, it is possible to do it with a microphone and an algorithm, especially if you have enough "known" training data. Pippa is smart she doesn't use a loud mechanical keyboard.

How was what he said not obvious? Keys have unique sounds, you can probably decipher them manually through audio if given enough effort.

Edit: Also, dial tones on phone keys can do the same, this isn't new.
