That armor and sword are tutorial armor and the redditor's character name is unknown.

For all we know, it is Lumi's brother, and he saw the reddit post and tried to recreate the character. Other plebbitors were asking for the sliders in that thread. Hard to tell without knowing the date of the save game or other info about the redditor's character.

The reason why people didn't like Vshojo's nepohires was because they held an open audition but didn't hire talents from that audition, and instead picked up a couple of nepohires instead. Also, the only way to get into Vshojo is to be a nepohire. Neither observation applies to Phase Connect.

Nepohiring isn't bad in of itself. Vtubing relies on the personal chemistry between talents, it makes sense to hire talents that you know have that personal chemistry.
