Feels like every vtuber talks about how amazing they are at rhythm games but never plays them. Is it some DMCA bullshit or something?

Depending on the game DMCA is probably an issue but another is rhythm games, especially at high levels, require intense concentration so make for streams of minutes straight of silence and having to ignore chat completely. There is also going to be some filtering by the gameplay as rhythm seems to have a fairly small fan base so it can fuck the metrics for those worried about that as well.
