Fact: If an indie is talented they will join Hololive.
Logically this leads to the conclusion that watching any indie who has not been in Hololive is a waste of time, because if they were talented, they would join Hololive. Indies who were in Hololive have already proven that they are worth watching.

A lot of talented indies go unnoticed. Joining Hololive gives them the spotlight they deserve. Would I watch them or even know them if they hadn't joined Holo or Niji? Who knows. Probably not. You can't deny being in a corpo elevates them and opens up opportinuites they didn't have before.

You basically answered yourself, the recruiters have been bringing on people which are much more in line with the company's work culture nowadays.

As for people's reactions, you have to keep in mind that HoloEN was basically the gateway drug for A LOT of western fans, a bunch of which stopped giving a shit about Holo after the pandemic and as they got more into vtubing and found shit they liked better, these people still hold myth and sometimes council to an insane standard, even though, let's be honest, myth is objectively a pretty lackluster gen in terms of output and cohesion and was by all means an experiment meant to perform along the lines of ID gen 1.

Holo never intended EN to be as popular or influential as it was, thus the hiring process wasn't geared towards longevity or "the future of the company", the company literally didn't have a future in EN at all.

Well the ching chongs did essentially give Holo its first big overseas boost with the Azur Lane collab and such, they were also massive Fubuki and Aqua fans and Holo was just bigger in china than any other corpo in general.
