I mean the awards werent really a good idea conceptually really. It really put you into a hard position where you had to give something to somebody, like holy shit BEST STAFF, whats that consolation prize bullshit. "We couldnt figure out what you did best, but heres a medal for attending a zoom call!".
Better idea would be a chronology of interesting stuff filled with clips and highlights and prerecorded segments. Like giving everyone a spotlight, giving a chance to have a taste of less popular talents. I mean thats pretty much longer phase weekly but wouldnt that be good tho?

I feel bad for Lia. She doesn't get the Most Unhinged award which was really for her and has to share a collab award with Yuri.

We all knew these awards were going to be sketchy as fuck anyway, especially without fan involvement.

I feel like they must have rushed this. They could have done a much better show and made sure to give each talent an award that showcases their strengths and of course show some better clips and HAVE SOME MUSIC PERFORMANCES!!!!!. Maybe next year

Fuck it I'm glad Panko won bigly but Shiina deserved more love. I'm glad they at least acknowledged her great debut because it was one of the most creative vtuber debuts I've seen.

I don't talk about Panko much, but I watch most of her streams and she's really fun and I agree it's nice to see her get some love!
Edit: There could never be enough Shiina love though

This pretty much was just a longer Phase Weekly/New Years whatever those vids were dressed up as award show which weird premise but whatever.
Won't argue it could have been done better, definitely some improvements to be made if they do another one.

Probably would have been better to do a "best of 2022" recap, with a set amount of time for each talent. Let people discover fun things about the PC talents they haven't watched.

But that's me monday morning quarterbacking. Also, new company trying to see what works. Wasn't great, but wasn't terrible either. Hell, the fact that we are talking about PC this much instead of Holo or Niji shows they are doing something right. (or incredibly wrong)

Uhhhh, ackshually she has a thong on in both, so it is not fully naked. And she's a thousand year old something blah blah anyway I don't know.

As for voting; I do appreciate Nolan's hidden rage, Nenelove's hate for Nijisanji, Reticule's obsession because it makes me feel like my own obsession is not as bad as it actually is hope (Edit: haha, frickin formatting, cannot put an emoji in parenthesis I suppose "( )") , and Thhrang obviously has experience with a broom and mop. So it's a tough choice.

Tbh Pankos model filtered me in the same way Shiinas did but she has similarly shown that it's not a coombait thing, and she has some great creativity. She's a weird blend of Pippa and Gura, like if rabbit and shark had a love child that got seized by CPS and grew up in foster care, that's Panko.

I mean talents are fun. While i dont watch all of them, each of them have charisma and wit, with all of them having a something of their own to bring to the table as a bonus. One thing fishman did right is casting. Its just everything else is kinda scuff on organization and support sides. Mostly because fishman takes a monstrous bite that he cant chew for shit, which generates unimaginable amounts of fishhate in me specifically.
