The background that's public knowledge is Vshojo's merch was in a barely functional place, Matara worked with Bricky (since he's been in the merch game for a while) and his distribution group. That group hired on some of Matara's family. Matara's business was nearly all separate from Vshojo and it was an issue in their renegotiations on her contract. That's why she said she was "happy with her decisions". This is straight up just a case of diverged business interests and the parties are parting ways.

She's been quite insistent on saying vShojo let her go, Matara certainly doesn't see it as a mutual thing (I'm not sure she's being entirely reasonable about it though....)

Having her business separate from Vshojo is better for her, Vshojo's interests are to have merch/other stuff back under their revenue stream. If she's not willing to bring it back under their banner, then the logical decisions from both parties is for Vshojo to let her go and Matara to be fine with it. Matara agreed to the language in both statements and she just wanted everyone to be clear it was Vshojo's choice to end the relationship.

She'd be happy to still be with Vshojo under her terms, but those aren't acceptable to the company. So, they made the decision to not renew her. This is a surprisingly "clean" difference in interests business relationship dissolution.

Yes, that makes sense. I bought a Henya poster from them and it came all creased. What was even the point in buying it? This sounds like a wise decision then. Seems like Matara's collaberations with Bricky has been good for her.

I like 'em. I just think they're neat when they're together.

I like it how it currently is and I don't want their energy to change, but at the same time I don't think I'd be incredibly averse to them being in a relationship either. It would be different, but no less entertaining I think.
But if things go bad, their friendship-chemistry would probably never recover, so why risk it. Especially since they both don't really seem to be desperately looking to be in a relationship right now, either with each other or even at all.

It's the last day of Mata's VShojo tag being a thing and it seems like she's going to keep it low key to drive the point home that it's not actually a big deal.

Melody has announced that she's going to Japan, and while she hasn't said so directly for some reason, I assume from the emotion in the announcement it is to live there and not just for a vacation.

Good for her. Japan offers many opportunities to make her streams more interesting, for both kinds of stream that she usually does.
