Rumors I've heard browsing around /a/ is that a bunch of Korean Manwha (?) publishers got pissy at Mangadex and got a bunch of big name JP publishers to collaborate with them to send a DMCA (and probably pressing for further legal action) to Mangadex.

Also have once again learned the pain of catching up with a popular-ish ongoing series that I've finally binged reading. Now I either play the (bi-)weekly waiting game or try and forget about it for another few years before catching back up.

High chance that it's just Kakao since they're the same ones who struck down a lot of manhwa sites these past couple of years.
