This was an interesting story. There was a small indie named Maika Mallow who was clearly using a voice changer to pitch up her voice for the past four years, if I recall correctly. She did a graduation stream today in which she revealed she's actually been performing as another character with her real voice for the past year and that character has been more successful as well as a more true reflection of herself. She turned off her voice changer and brought out the model of her other character, and invited her fans who aren't scared off by the change to please follow her as her other character.



I wonder how common it is for a talent to be actively performing two characters at the same time like that. Obviously the voice would give it away most of the time but given improvement in voice changers and/or the two characters having entirely different audiences, someone might be able to go undetected for a while.
