Speaking as somebody who ought to know more than a bit about this kinda thing, the biggest reason for this attention. Proctor is definitely right in that some people will get lost in character and become the mask if they're just doing it on their own, but it's also just the fact that male coomer attention is a dangerous drug for everybody, men and women included. If you have people who wanna fuck you, you will feel wanted and valued. Especially online, everybody wants to feel wanted and valued regardless of who you are. Female attention is a lot harder to get since women have such high standards for men, so many men will simply feel more comfortable with the easier source of attention and try to go all the way so they can get even more. Then they start doing porn.
