To then end it again, for real this time.
This reminded me of something funny. When i was in my mid teens i went on a vacation at a resort in Aruba and made friends with this bri-ish kid a little older than me. Things were seemingly fine enough until he asked me:

I told him to fuck off and avoided him for like 2 days. I didn't realize he wanted a cig until i told a sibling what he said & they filled me in on what he meant.
I seriously thought he wanted my approval (or was inviting me?!?) to go have gay buttsecks.
Other than the sad parts tonight's karaoke was pretty nice. Hope it cheered her up to an extent
