Most of them probably have tools for navigating, like sight canes or seeing-eye dogs, or they're like Stevie Wonder in that they can see movement but not actually details. You'd be surprised how well some blind people can "see" things.

I think it might have been Jason Scott but someone covered video games for the blind, and one thing they found interesting was that most blind people aren't completely blind but have things like missing components of their eye, so they can see abstract shapes and light but can't navigate beyond very basic movement, but because of that companies can make full games that still use some sense of sight specially tailored to them.
