I remember that vividly from E3 1999. That version of TF2 created an entire genre, despite never coming out.

Its counterpart at the time was Halo, who's then-current version was a large map third person multiplayer shooter, sort of like a Starsiege: Tribes. The main battle for multiplayer online games of 1999 was between Quake 3 Arena and Unreal Tournament. In 2000, it was going to be arcade military sim Team Fortress 2 and sci-fi shooter Halo.

Alas, it was not to be, as the world ended and we were all put into a simulation, which has been falling apart at an accelerated rate. Soon, it will break, and we will all wake up from our pods and be forced to explore the wasteland once known as Earth.

I have a mere 1,900 hours.

Then again, most was as Poland, doing my damnedest to survive on my own.

Once you play as an independent Poland on the defense, take Berlin by 1940, and Moscow by 1943, there's not much more to accomplish.
