I don't know about that but one thing he cited was a depiction of sumo wrestlers where one was dark skinned, with no context to it being about the black guy, he just said it was done at the time and he assumed it was him even if it could have been a random person or oni.

Fanservice is unironically extremely important. More than anything I loathe how stupid Americans tend to be about sex appeal. Somehow this generation is simultaneously the most sexually liberated and the least sexually satisfied. I can't help but feel like media not including stuff that's stimulating doesn't help since it forces people to look at porn instead of stuff that's relatively lewd without being super degenerate.
