It's not even a bad take, it's the creators making a request so that the game can exist at all in the west! shit, I'm more on the puritan side of things, and even I understand that pornography of existing works is an inevitability. even in Japan these works continue to be made, and there are continuous efforts from the fanbase to get them to stop - a futile effort, of course, but commendable nonetheless so that the owners of the horses don't rescind licenses/permissions/etc! not to mention the Yakuza!
the tourists actively pursuing its creation *because* of such strict content creation guidelines, while also blaming the creator for the existence of such pornography, isn't the "everything is allowed or nothing is allowed" free speech principle they think it is! and if the game IS taken away in the west because of it, even a little bit of foresight dictates that the backlash against them will be enough to cause a minor civil war in the community, because literally nobody would have expected Uma Musume to release in the west in the first place!
