Remember that the baseline to be a vtuber is to manage to operate multiple proprietary programs, cobble together multiple pieces of technology and troubleshoot whenever any of this doesn't work. I'm not saying Remi can't be hilariously incompetent in other areas, due to her upbringing and background, but she's not stupid.

I could be wrong, don't watch enough of her. But I think Remi is legitimately smart, she's just young and extremely autistic (Had the highest autism likelihood score in Phase Connect) + SEA + god tier bad luck.

I'm not critical of her or her content, it is just that the combination of her voice, demeanor and speech impediment (?) un-ironically triggers my protective instinct which makes me feel more concerned than entertained. She's the only chuuba to make me feel this way.

She had a problem with her audio a week or so ago, and unfiltered she still has a high pitched voice, but it wasn't as extreme. Maybe she should try slowly turning off the voice modifer so it's closer to her real voice. For comparison, It'll be much less jarring than the difference in Pippa's voice that can be time, mood, or stream dependent.

But, she is great in gameplay collabs because she says so much wild shit. I can't sit through a Weeb with Wemiko stream, but it's funny that she always yaps so much her guest cohosts fall asleep.

Anyways, she really does deserve more success than some others... She's a grinder.

I do wish she'd dial down the baby voice. She's cute without that. Could be Stockholm Syndrome kicking in but I feel like she's been better about it recently.

It's not so much where she breaks character, it's more that she stays in character in ways that just barely toe the line.

Like, in collabs, Wemi will sometimes bring up a subject that is just barely adjacent to something controversial, and have some wild opinion on it, and you can see the collab partners actively struggling to dodge the taboo subject while Wemi rants. If it happened only once I would chalk it up to Wemi being Wemi, but she manages to deliberately spill this stuff on her collab partners over and over again. Enough times that it's way past coincidence.

I absolutely believe her gremlin lifestyle and all the things she posts, but I also absolutely believe she plays it up perfectly.

She's also much more articulate in written word than she is speaking.
