As @BEEG Booba Fishing mentioned, it's horseracing. It's getting 12k because nips in general go crazy for horseracing and gambling on it. From what I've been told, it's a huge cultural thing there and some people grew up with families going to the races as a tradition, like how Americans go to baseball games even when they don't care too much about the sport because of the atmosphere there.
