That said, looking through Twitch's Safety guidelines, I can't find a single carve out for "reporting" or "journalism" or any other associated understanding for Community Guidelines. As far as I can tell by the way Twitch presents its rules, you really can't even read the news. It hadn't occurred to me that might be an issue, but it kind of is. So reading the bannable content doesn't seem to have any carve outs, which is a classic Kafka Trap. Not surprising. Also, doesn't that mean Hasan should be permabanned by this point?

Your problem here is thinking Twitch ever follows ANY of its own policies. Look at the way they white knight their cash cows. You could probably fire a shotgun at their TOC and hit something they missed and/or refused to enforce.
