The goal of Advent is not to attract an entire new wave of vtuber fans. It is to shore up gaps in the schedule caused by a decreased amount of streaming from their senpai, and to provide more content overall by allowing more opportunities for collabs and other group events. Streaming at the same time as the the other girls is actually integral to that.

So once they get 3D does that mean they'll be on a constant rotating trip to Japan like their sempais, and their stream output will drop drastically due to "other projects"?

Probably yeah actually, but the number of talents at that point will mean that somebody from EN will be streaming and we won't have a drought because somebody will still be home and in normal mode.

It wouldn't surprise me if the reason Cover decide to go for EN3 finally was seeing how much dead air they had now that Japan was open and EN talents were constantly rotating through Japan for projects (and the 2nd year slow down to of course).
