as someone who hates the new armor yes yes this is a vast improvment I wish i could elaborate on why.

I think it's because of the brighter and cooler colors, and the predominant color being light blue, makes the whole thing not clash and it ends up coming together better. For example, the turquoise of the hair matches the light blue of the rest of the outfit.

A fix to the L2D would be to add a blueish tint to the grey metal and make the blue parts of the outfit lighter, while keeping the hair with the same intensity (to not make it look so pale).
