Agreed, although there is somewhat of a caveat - someone like Pippa used to acknowledge the homeland constantly and would occasionally literally use Twitter to reply to posts in the OG thread. She hasn't gotten canceled for it, even with the clip of her literally screaming "Joshua Moon, let's collab!" occasionally circulating. I think it's just a careful line to toe, and if you have curated an audience of people who wouldn't give a shit, then it's less of an issue. Overall though, yeah, if there actually is for some god-forsaken reason a VTuber active in this thread who has an audience of lefty-Twitchfag types or whatever, it would be a death sentence.

Turkey Tom, Destiny, and Cecil all openly acknowledge the homelands in their content and the latter two started openly having Josh on even though they're both left wing. The trick is to be a third party, in that you're not actively promoting the naughty words or wrong think, but you don't pretend like it's a mythical place that sunk to the bottom of the ocean or something.

While awful hiring decisions is a part of it, management being incompetent and leaving people to fend for themselves is a worse problem. You can train anyone to do mostly anything and even if X person sucks for Y job, you can still find something useful for that person to do if you are decent enough.

When you squeeze the employee too much to try to get as much money out of them as possible, which seems to be what happens to these small vtuber corporations where they are trying to push for monetization and then they try to take a cut out of either ad-revenue, superchats or memberships. The talent feels like all their work is not worth shit because they don't get to keep what little money they make. Would be nice to get more information from the talent's side. Shit like UWU, CyberLive, and HavenX. I am willing to bet that these companies would try to bleed the talents dry and at the end of the day they would put on a show for 4 hours and earn a total of $20-$30.

To further expand on this Neena Makurano comes to mind.

I don't exactly know how much money was getting pulled out of her pockets by the company (and she kinda seems like a terrible person talking shit about gen-mates, leaking information and breaking the contract) but the ultimate reason for her to get fired all of a sudden was that she wanted to make money. She pushed her loyal whales into following her alt and she told them to hold off on donating on this account and focus on donating on her personal one. While she is a HUGE red flag, I do feel like the money thing was a big factor.

I think vtubers are kind of an nullifier to that stuff since they can't rely on looks to get fans. They have to have good personalities and good content, which I think attracts more people overall (since they will also pick up people where 1D personality girls on twitch don't cut it for them). They also tend to have additional talents such as singing or drawing on top of that, so there's more going for them than "wow I have booba, can barely play games, and have no personality. Gibe money."

On the other hand, I do not understand the appeal of xQc. Every time I've seen him I have not once been entertained, only mildly annoyed. He seems like a knuckledragger that fell assbackwards into millions of subs.

That's the thing though; when they're ALL good looking, then that no longer matters. People are more likely to give a VTuber a look based on the character design being something interesting rather than just "me so horny" because anyone and everyone can have tits and ass.

When looks are no longer a special commodity, then the playing field is even. Now you have to sink or swim based on your actual content and value as an entertainer.

Now its not a matter on the looks but also on how much tits you can get away with showing without getting banned from Twitch and how good the rigging is to show off the bouncing tits, thighs, and stomach.

The NijiWomEN collab was pretty degenerate. Much areola and nipple measuring and ending with boob bouncing and kissing like others have said. It was pretty fun to watch though and they all had good collab chemistry even IRL.
