I don't know what it is with the 5th level of the Terran campaign in Starcraft, but both Selen, Moona, and now Ami have struggled with it and taken ages to complete it.

I also doubt NijiEN would ever go for an older male avatar, given Chinese audiences are obsessed with twinks in-general.

I would sell my soul if we got another male vtuber like Yashiro. I want a vtuber who is just a dude, no more of this fantastical shit.

It would do NijiEN good to invest in an older male avatar given the fact that fans and livers alike want one, but what the hell do I know about audience wants and needs.

I maintain that the best male Niji designs are guys like Maimoto, Yashiro, Belmond, Bonniver, and Taka (Even though Taka is more Bishi out of those 5). The only male design in EN that has come close is Luca (just barely though). Even girls within the agency have wanted more Oji-san looking dudes (iirc Millie has said this) but yet we get nothing.

Design opinions:

Zaion: Easily the best one. Really like it, but it is a little on the busy side.


Droppio: Too many belts, but otherwise good.


Meloco: Meh coomer goth chick edition. Too busy. Her mouth annoys me.


Hex: I would like it, but his head is bizarrely small and annoys me greatly


Kotoka: Reminds me of the main characters for the new Fire Emblem, but not as bad. Still too busy and coomer bait, gyaru edition.


Ver: Best design of the males, imo


The names, though, what the fuck, they are so bad. Kotoka is the only one without a retarded name.

People are thinking too hard into this. The only issue I see is how Hex sounds. Because unless he’s Corpse Husband he’s trying way too hard with that voice.

I think the guys and girls look alright, girls lolk better but unfortunately that’s standard for VTuber industry. And the voice lines are always cringe and always are made fun of and turned into memes.

edit: and yes, the names are absurd and ridiculous, fucking Doppio.

I'd like to remind the audience that Tempus was laughed at for their cringe intro trailer and shit ass designs (especially Dorito Chin Vesper and Maggin' Magni).

That said, as someone who can enjoy overdesigned anime shit I have no idea what is with these designs and the names don't help either. Feels like some 13 year old shit, especially with the guy names. Hex Haywire's voice line was funny as shit though, 10/10 porn acting.

Oh nice a smoker, how progressive? Smokers are really hard to listen to for me, especially for long periods of time if this guy does zatsu's that might be interesting to see someone literally go for a cig break mid-stream.
