I confess that I underestimated Fauna a bit as a gamer when they first joined and due to her ASMR stuff I figured she was the gfe of EN but holy shit I was wrong. She has true gamer DNA all the way through.

She still has some gamer growth to do given how long she drags in the mental asylum portion of the game. It's the most cut and dry example of navigation by game design but still wandered around for a few minutes not knowing what to look for.

At most with what we know about Axel's life, he did have his high school crush that he was never able to be with due to her parents never wanting her to date, and she eventually moved away from his high school. Maybe he simply let her move away and never tried to stay in touch and he regrets it? That's the best I got from Axel's various stories.
Axel is going to die inside when everything begins to go to hell, he is so attached to Sayori. I am going to die of anticipation if he stops just before everything starts to happen.

It makes sense as to why she's so cautious about doing anything that would come across as remotely "lewd" just to help keep all that buried. I don't think it's all that much of a big deal as there have been a few anime voice actors that have done hentai or ecchi dubs in the past (Dan Green and Vic Mignona come to mind).
Ultimately the best any of us can do is take note, archive what we can, and learn from Jersh's successes and failures.
