Maybe it's because it could be viewed as a knock-off of Story of Seasons/Harvest Moon and they'd rather stay in the good graces of the "OG."
Maybe whoever controls the rights or some friend of theirs has beef with someone in the company.
I've joked about that possibility before. There is a non-zero chance that the person handling perms doesn't speak English and might just be sending these random emails to publishers while using some bullshit like google translate to have it in English. So I can definitely imagine the indie Belgian devs Larian receiving a random email in broken English and thinking, "What the fuck is this? Is this a scammer?". Just watch this video and you'll see how weird the devs are. And yes, the guy in the suit of armor is the CEO and creative director and he's openly stated he has no intentions of selling the company even after their game went full gangbusters and has made every single AAA dev seethe.
I want this just for the psychological warfare of spamming it. Or even just giving it and then removing it quickly so they don't know who is doing that.
