I also remembered Mumei has her health problems always popping up which wouldn't be good. She has the cuteness, is probably En's best singer, apparently is parasocial and that always nets fans and merch, and is just very likeable. Shame her health issues, shyness, and lack of exposure compared to Gura won't allow her to take the spot if push comes to shove.

Hololive found its stride with Gen 3 bringing powerhouse talents like Pekora, Marine, and Rushia. Likewise ID3 gave us Kobo and Kaela who are doing amazing. Perhaps third time's the charm for HoloEN to strike gold?

I mean, HoloEN's "strike gold" was Myth. I don't think they need to strike gold, the rest of the girls do well enough anyway. They are still the top VTubers on YouTube in terms of CCV.

Pippa can be funny, I like it when she reacts to paranormal nonsense the most, but her menhera seems more uncontrolled and she just comes off as more bitter and pessimistic

Pippa is real as FUCK with her Menhara. I'm not saying I want her to have problems or be unhealthy, but when she expresses the darker thoughts it resonates with me as things I think and feel that I often would never verbalize to anyone because I don't want to disturb them. Hearing Pippa say some of this stuff on stream helps me, even though AGAIN I don't want her feel or think that way at all.

She had Sean, a dumpy voice actor and zero view vtuber she had met recently at a Con, call in and talk to her.
People talked a bunch of shit about him being her BF and stuff. Lia sad posted about it on her alt. Some roommate pics went around /vt alleging to be of her and her
"boyfriend" but were swiftly debunked because the "boy" was another female Cosplayer who could be easily ID'd. There might have been more, but that's what I remember. Aside from Lia being sad it was pretty entertaining.

No more than there is already. People who are already mad or given up will stay that way. People who are waiting patiently are already waiting patiently. Yes, both groups will make noise in the usual places, but I don't think that noise represents substantial change in opinion.
There would be backlash if Cover tried to sell her birthday merch without her, for example. But I doubt that will happen, they've shown willingness to delay merch runs in the past.

Nah, most people don't give a shit, maybe some rioting in /vt/ but I think a lot of the huge cloud of normies she gathered back in 2020 already dispersed, her graduating would probably cause a big splash but since it's not sudden (she's been in a dormant state for months) it may not be cause for that much drama, just some people quitting the agency/community for good, doubly so if the reason for graduation is just "health issues" or "going on with her life" which most people will just accept since the seed has already been planted with her mentioning she has issues. If it were some kind of termination or bad break (super unlikely) then yeah, it would probably be a big source of drama.

Honestly I don't care that she doesn't stream, I just dislike the fact that nothing has been said about it, she just sits there and does nothing for months, makes holo look weak and the fans fight each other, at this point I would prefer it if she just took an actual hiatus or graduated, fence sitting is bs.

The social interaction and the attainability are what people go for. Same reason "amateur" porn is more popular than more heavily produced stuff, same reason nudes of someone you know are so appealing. People want that "girl next door" effect and that social connection, not just seeing bodyparts on screen.

Aside for maybe Bae who doesn't have the subs/revenue, I don't see anyone being a good replacement for Gura. Mori might have the subs but she isn't a good poster character I feel. I would vote for Kiara but I am not sure if she has it too. Mumei perhaps? I can see her doing it but same as Bae she doesn't have the widespread popularity Gura or Mori have.

Bae would be my champion for replacement gura, she has high energy and her design is very recognizable. Mori is her own powerhouse and couldn't be both the reaper rapper and the Poster child of HoloEN too. While Kiara would have the drive to be the poster child of EN, i feel shes a bit too unpredictable with menhera type stuff to be relied on. Mumei could work but i feel like the Poster child of EN needs a higher energy level than what Mumei provides.

Coco was a different issue, Hololive basically shadow graduated her after the taiwan shit, Gura's issues are seemingly mostly self imposed.

I imagine it will make her fanbase very mad but i doubt it would realistically cause much backlash, at most some more "Gura never streams lol" and maybe a slight off hand mention by one of the girls. Like most vtuber fanbases it isn't hard to appease the chumbuds.

EN honestly needs a leader who actually does shit and pushes the boundaries instead of a shy girl who never wanted to get popular and barely tries anything because of social autism and self doubt. Gura is the posterchild because she has the biggest numbers, but apart from that she's very similar to aqua. EN needs a Coco or a fubuki or pekora, someone who really takes up that mantle of figurehead and appears constantly, not a recluse.
