With the underage fan thing, it was actually more to do with his staff than Dream, people jumped on him not realising (because retardation).
The one thing he actually was caught in was manipulating the drop rates on his world record Minecraft run, to the point he hired a mathematician to confirm it was possible, before getting BTFO by the Minecraft speed running mods with insane number crunched figures.
TL;DR what he did in the run was mathematically impossible with base game figures, proving he manipulated the game code.
The sad part about the faked run drama is I don't think he intended to run the manipulated builds. I think he simply didn't notice he was on the wrong load of the client when he was doing speedrun stuff, didn't realize it when he submitted it and then quadrupled down when called out on it. While everyone was on the "physical possibilities before the heat death of the universe" math work, there was a blatantly obvious & logical answer for how it all went down. He hired a physicists for number crunching before checking if he had played on a modified client for those runs.
It was a 5 minute check and a mea culpa, because using modified clients had been previously part of his content. But he'd clearly not faced any real criticism before and responded in a really dumb, overtly autistic way. That isn't too surprising.
Nano was not only useful for helping them burn Sinder but she's one of the biggest artists in the scene giving her some protection They're just as incestuous as vtubers themselves are, she'd probably be able to get them blacklisted from a bunch of other big artist/riggers if they tried to burn her too.
