The impact of diet, fitness, and other physical issues on mental disorders is way too downplayed. There's study after study showing that exercise is more effective than anti-depressants for most cases (and can get many people entirely off of them even), that a large number of disorders have been traced to certain vitamin and mineral deficiencies, and that heavy metal build-up can cause a lot of neurological issues that reverse with chelation therapies to get the lead, cadmium, and arsenic out of the body.
Of course telling people to first eat better and exercise more doesn't make as much money as pushing endless drugs.
I never understood the idea that it was Final Fantasy that did this. Chaos, Cloud of Darkness, Zeromus, and Exdeath had nothing to do with reaching godhood in the first place, and even with Emperor Mateus and Kefka they weren't like becoming some stand-in for the Abrahamic God beyond Kefka's final battle having parallels to the Divine Comedy. I put much more blame on SMT.
Depression is a neurological defensive state the body enters to avoid over-expenditure of whatever chunk of the brain is under stress. It's why the drugs actually never solve the issue. The person either has to recover or someone helps them "sweat" out the issues.
Just want to appreciate the current state of thing since you guys are nostalgia posting as if there's nothing good ever happening anymore/current year
Honestly I have never had more fun watching ENRECO and GTA RP when it came to streams
Even the current Rust seem meh in comparison to them but it's only day 2
There's also the (re?)discovery of Reya that elevate Hololive streams to a new level. (I hope she takes good commission worth her time and effort instead of selling herself short like Miori)
Biboo's birthday stream was great
There was this one in 2024, but meh fuck it, recent enough. Also rip fauna.
Seems like the current year is bigger, more involved 4+ people projects/collabs since people are alot more organized and outward going than back in the days with Myth. Individually I really like Bae's going through yoko taro shit and her yakuza gameplay. There's the addition of CC whom is so unique and entertaining, noone even remember her playing the violin anymore, nor does she need to. I think she's saving it for after 3D. Tbh I'd rather watch her play games than violin. But we'll see what she's cooking.
Currently it's in a lull-ish state for sure, but Holo literally is having 4 people graduating at the same time and noone wanna take the spot light away from them.

She called the song her final project. I don't think she's doing some big graduation thing, We might get a stream with call ins at best.
Even Fauna and Sana who weren't singers and performers at least had an elevated l2d or vr karaoke.

Yeah Gura's good at singing but I don't think she has ever been proven to be good at song writing.Anyone looking to do a word by word analysis of the lyrics of Ash Again needs to take a look at the song's credits - what you're analyzing is Casey Edwards' interpretation of Gura's "discord trauma dump", not a personal message from her.....
I don't think anyone said she directly wrote her message into the song, more like Casey translated her emotions and thoughts and experiences into a cohesive message she was haphazardly conveying in conversations, aka it's not divorced from Gura's thoughts and feelings.
