How would you back that up, though? Cursory glance at what little playboard allows to see[for free] re:supas shows that at least Aia and Luca are still doing quite well in terms of superchat money(the other three i checked were Rosemi, Ver and Enna who don't seem to be doing as well), not to mention we have no data regarding merch sales and profit off of that.
He was very consistent and only missed out 3D stuff for dozens of reason

An actual loss for NijiEN, yes, even ex-livers still speak highly of him. He was also one of the few that actually tard-wrangled if someone did step out of line, which whether you found his fanbase cringe or not, they at least didn't go around starting shit or jumping into drama just to do it like so many other EN vtubing communities. Everyone who joins NijiEN says he's always the most welcoming and supportive person there, which is rare in the content creation world, especially western content creation where everything is seen as competition or using you as a stepping stone.

This is true. He did a lot more with BL in his PL. He would talk about BL as Fulgur, but with his PL he would do larger reviews and live readings of Chinese BL, which would probably be a no-go for Nijisanji, especially since the BL he talked about in his PL often was the darker kind of BL.
So yeah, he probably wants to talk about BL more extensively again, like he did in his PL.

NijiEN is not dead, fujo's don't post here. The "By the Beat" gen all is over 100k and vod views are more then respectable. Aster and Twisty are out and the JP as EN loophole seems closed as Klara isn't that popular (then again it could be her gen came at the worst possible time...) but most do numbers comparable to StarsEN.
In general it's a disservice for everyone to continue this narrative especially because it drives away people that might actually be interested in posting Niji news. The 2434 general was more informative.

In youtube donations alone, EN earned over $1.5 million in 2024. They aren't dying by any measure. Even if the lowest of the branch is barely making anything, they have a lot of heavy money makers.
That's without any info into their 98% merch cut earnings, streamlabs, any other sources of income, or their new wave that seems to be extremely popular.
