Some of them are probably bored too. You'll notice a lot of these "porn addicts" are unemployed socially-awkward autists who don't have much going on in their life. Are they genuinely dependant on it to the point they'd cancel plans to jerk off if they actually had any, or do they just watch more porn because they have more time to do so?
A lot of this is flimsy speculative "science" being argued by the extremes of puritans looking for excuses to ban things they don't like, and sex pests who absolutely must tell the anime girl streamer they have hot armpits unprovoked. Generally speaking as long as you're not prioritising pornography over shit that actually matters, and know not to get your dick out in public, you probably don't have a problem.
