Edit: Pippa is right, a low level job should be a goal to advance, not an end to a career.
The latter is breakfast, the former is for afterhours.
Back in the good old days, teenagers worked cashier jobs and had to do simple addition and subtraction. IMO, removing the most basic mental work probably makes the job more tedious and mind numbing.
The problem with that mindset is that there's no number go up.
