There's a function to disable the NSFW CG but the NSFW sprites that appear aren't censored.
...Unless you wander into the Katawa Shoujo Forums (they still exist, surprisingly) and download one of the fan mods that update the game to a current version of Ren'py that has a fix for that.
But the sex scenes are already disabled
I assume just reacting to clips since there's probably a fair overlap of his new v-tuber watcher fans and Pippa fans and people want their e-daddy to laugh along at things they like. Better than conspiracy theorying about how Niji caused the Holo-CN fallout.
