Hard for me to sync with both Gen Alpha and even Gen Z in this regard. For all intents and purpose, the Internet wasn't a thing when I was in school. The web was still in its infancy, and was only really used by nerds like me.
Trying to imagine an entire generation that grew up on the internet, and also electronics in school as a norm outside computer lab is just... strange.

The problem with this generation of kids is that they're literally not prepped for school. Their parents aren't engaging with them at home because mum's watching her stories and step-dad of the month's out on the piss, so there's no inherent desire to learn. You have kids who've never had a book read to them at home so they have no interest in learning to read for themselves, kids who've never been told off for bad behaviour so they're incessantly disruptive to the class, kids who have no aspiration to get a job when they're older because no-one else in their family works either etc..
It's easy to blame iPads or the internet or whatever, but the overarching problem is incompetent parenting.

I agree but not fully.
I think parents who don't pay attention have always been an issue and they should be shamed, but now we have all of these external factors targeting kids which exacerbates the problem as before a kids with bad parents would take up smoking or punching other kids with shit parents, but now they get groomed and fed troonshine from some weird fuck on the Internet because big tech wants to promote that specific form of degeneracy. That's far worse than any localized community of ruffians who can grow up and grow out of it, that's permanent damage on an industrial scale.
I don't think parenting has gotten worse, I think it has always been this level of poor, I just think the threats have evolved that take advantage of the flaw.

I want to like Legal Mindset because he at least appears to have an interest in engaging with the VTubing medium in a non-cynical way more than Rekieta ever did, and also considering the fact that he shat on Rekieta literally the other week for being a complete failure with law analysis nowadays and is seemingly steadily distancing himself (he gave Rekieta's 'review' of the Gina Carano Disney lawsuit an F grade, which cascaded into a minor drama slapfight where Ethan Ralph of all people attempted to defend Rekieta's honor from him; that's a different story), but I'm forever wary of lawyers.
He may be a lawyer and a coomer, but he's not an alcoholic, and has some semblance of professionalism.
Really, his level of professionalism combined with his degeneracy strangely makes him come off more earnest in his interest in this scene.
