It's because she actually did start eating, if you don't eat properly eating will make you feel sick and you actually lose appetite. So, you kind of have to force yourself to eat food and power through it making you feel bad until your body is like "ahhh this is actually good" which is funny and sad to think that she needed her parents to actually get onto her about eating properly.
That's a thing that happens when you're starving. If you gorge on food after a long period without food, you'll get sick and throw it all up. Pippa is trying to build up an immunity to food, like you would with poison. She eats one Ritz cracker one week, and next week she can eat a whole oreo. Give it another month, and she'll be eating a whole McDonald's kids meal!
