So Chaama has been traveling lately, taking lots of photos - this is a nice one plus she is thinking of a photo book which would be a really cool vtuber merch idea -
and doing a bit of writing on twitter

I have a soft spot for her. Certainly I don't want corpo's hiring under aged vtubers now but watching her through her formative years growing into an adult was something unique and I am glad she is still going. It's something that hopefully won't happen again in this specific sphere, though singers like KAF and other young talents will always be a thing, because vtubers have such a degree of freedom to interact and be influenced online. She's usually just a giggling mess so seeing this other "human" side to her is endearing and makes me want to cheer her on even more. Wonder what she will be up to next

"My Mother and the Classic Café in Shibuya"
Deep in the alleys of Shibuya,
there’s a building that looks like a splendid Western-style mansion.
I found it in a book,
and the first time I went alone,
I sat down feeling nervous.
From the large speakers,
powerful classical music resounded,
overwhelming me so much that my fatigue vanished.
It was so comfortable that I dozed off.
When I woke up, an hour had passed in a flash.
I remember rushing because I had errands to run.
On my way home,
I listened to a "Nodame Cantabile" playlist,
soaking in the afterglow.
It felt like I had rediscovered a forgotten sense of healing,
and I was delighted.
My mother loves classical music,
and I remembered how she often played it at home.
I used to take piano and ballet lessons,
so classical music was a familiar presence in my childhood.
Then, life happened,
and I quit my lessons and we sold the piano.
We stopped listening to classical music at home.
Next time, I want to bring my mother along.
A month later,
my mother and I walked through Shibuya’s alleys and arrived.
The famous music café "Lion"
I ordered coffee,
and my mother ordered a cream soda.
Since talking is prohibited,
my mother kept making exaggerated gestures to get my attention.
Maybe she got bored, because she started poking at me,
teasing me playfully.
It was hard to tell who the child was.
I couldn’t help but laugh.
Listening with my eyes closed
made me feel immersed in the music’s world several times over.
Once I focused,
I started to feel drowsy, my eyelids growing heavy.
I almost drifted off.
I forgot to bring cash,
so my mother paid the bill for me.
I invited her, but she ended up treating me.
Stepping out of the café brought me back to reality.
The faint sound of music drifted from the window.
Lingering in the afterglow, we walked down Dogenzaka.
I asked my mother,
“How was it?”
“It was great!
But I started dozing off halfway through.”
So, my mother was sleepy too.
While talking, I realized I forgot something.
“I have to go back!”
When I returned to the café…
The empty glass and cup we’d finished
were still there.
The curtains swayed gently in the breeze,
and light streamed through the window.
In that space, it felt like time had stopped…
The stillness was gentle.

Running late to a ferry - A
As expected, I won’t make it in time…
Who would’ve thought the ferry and the shinkansen
were this far apart.
I might not be able to get back from Okayama!
My naive thinking is, as usual, par for the course,
but I decided to take a taxi on the spur of the moment.
A man with a calm way of speaking.
“Where are you from?”
His voice came through my headphones.
I stopped the music
and answered, “From Tokyo!”
Since I had the chance,
I decided to chat.
I was curious about Okayama.
On this trip,
it was just a pass-through,
so I asked for recommendations.
Apparently, there’s Okayama Castle.
Among castle enthusiasts,
it’s said to be just about seeing the stone walls,
so I thought, what, you can’t see the castle itself…?
But the castle I glimpsed while passing by was pretty impressive.
For me, just seeing the shape of a castle
is enough to go, wow!
Matsuyama Castle in Takahashi City
has many parts preserved as they were back then,
and it seems a lot of people visit.
When I looked it up online later,
it was truly a “castle in the sky”!
A total embodiment of romance.
Speaking of Okayama,
it seems a lot of people do the Momotaro tour.
That sounds nice too~.
When the demon was shot with an arrow, it turned into a pheasant
and eventually became a carp and escaped into the river, or so the story goes.
Huh…?
I’d never heard that tale before.
Local folktales
feel so real, which makes them great.
A demon that can transform into anything—
fighting it must be quite a challenge.
Hearing all these stories
makes me want to visit even more.
Now I’m super curious.
Okayama, just a pass-through for now,
but let’s meet again.
