To put this in the nicest way possible, there's a reason that prior to the 2024 rekindling arc, I had very heavy trepidation with regards to her parents that I had vocalized in this thread a few times after hearing all of these sorts of past stories for ~two years by that point.

As wrong as it feels to say, the menhera breakdown was probably for the best. I don't think the restrictions of Holo would have done much good for her mentals, especially with how brutal their first year was compared to how Phase has turned out for her.
